Not only comfortable, but the upper is also tough. TPU Thermo welded reinforcements feature across the whole upper, fending off bumps, abrasions and scratches that are an inevitable part of mountain biking. The smooth unibody construction also reduces areas that could chafe and cause discomfort while also giving a striking race-ready look. Copious ventilation holes also prevent your feet from overheating. 

Carbon XC 12 Sole

Getting the power down on a lung-bursting climb or kicking up the dirt on a technical downhill, with a full carbon insert across the pedal/cleat contact area, the Carbon XC 12 Sole gives you instant power transfer for speedy progress and maximum efficiency across any terrain. Meanwhile, the extra flex in the medial zone takes out the buzz from the trail, adding comfort for your longer off-road rides. 

The tread is kept to a minimum, reducing weight, but the TPU inserts are strategically placed to give optimal traction when you need it most - perfect for muddy trails and wet cyclocross races. The tough TPU inserts are also highly durable, ensuring grip is retained over the long haul. 

Dual SLW 3 Closure System

The SLW3, developed by X-Dial, builds and improves upon the previous iterations, making the fit and adjustment of your shoes quicker and easier than ever. It gives micrometric adjustment both to increase foothold and to release pressure. Twist to tighten. Press the side button to release pressure incrementally. All easily done on the go.
