In 1995, Light My Fire’s founder came across an age old phenomenon called MayaSticks. This kindling was quick and easy to start fire as well as being completely natural and produced from waste. Not only did they have environmental benefits but with fairtrade production in Guatemala, locals were able to make more money to send their children to school. With the development of the Light My Fire brand, the potential of outdoor equipment was harnessed, creating premium outdoor products with vibrancy and simple Scandinavian design.
