The key to the Dropframe Pro MTB Helmet's confidence-inspiring level of protection is the combination of dual-density Varizorb EPS, MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) and M.O.RE. (Mandibular Occipital Reinforcement) Guard design. Together they give unrivalled all-over head protection while still allowing the wide field of view and smooth airflow of an open-face lid.
Should you be unfortunate to crash, quite likely when MTBing, then the Varizorb EPS absorbs the impact forces and spreads those forces widely to lessen their effect on your head. At the same time, MIPS technology reduces the rotational forces acting on the head and thus guards against brain injury too. Lastly, the M.O.RE. design provides extended coverage of your ears, jaw, and back of the head so no matter which way you fall, you're fully covered.
MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System)
The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.
Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

Cool and Comfortable
The Dropframe isn't just protective though, it's cool and comfortable too. Fox have given it 8 Big Bore vents and 7 exhaust vents, turbo-boost cooling airflow over your head. The fixed visor is also carefully designed to channel airflow through the helmet while also keeping the sun out of the eyes. Rowdy riding won't leave you overheating in this airy lid.
