This is made possible by an innovative engineered fabric that seamlessly changes in characteristic to suit each part of the body. Gradient Stretch

At the pelvis, both compression and support are high, holding the seat pad firmly in place. The fabric is also thicker to avoid any transparency issues. Meanwhile, the fabric becomes lighter as it moves down the thighs. This gives a significant boost to mobility and moisture management, ideal as you inject some pace and intensity during your ride. And the four-way stretch provides just the right amount of muscle support. Raw cut endings and rubberised yarns keep the legs securely and smoothly in place too.

We then move to the upper body and the bib straps. Once again premium fabrics feature, offering just the right level of hold to secure the shorts without cutting into your shoulders. A perforated back regulates body temperature while bonded edges make sure you don’t notice the thickness of a stitched edge.

The first contact point against the skin is the super-soft upper skin-care material. It's now seamless and even softer than previous generation pads. The next layer, Castelli’s infinitely variable thickness padding, imparts just the right level of support where you need it - thicker under the sit bones and thinner on the sides and under the perineum. The results are outstanding comfort with reduced bulk.

Lastly, to really push home superior comfort levels, perforated viscous padding is added under the highly sensitive ischial and perineum pressure areas, offering luxurious support when you're on the saddle for hours on end.
